Jammu | Aug 13: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has launched a Tricolour illumination drive across the city ahead of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.
As part of the initiative, the bridge over the Tawi River has been illuminated in the colours of the National Flag, adding a patriotic look to the riverfront and one of Jammu’s prominent landmarks.
The initiative, undertaken on the directions of JMC Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, also includes Tricolour lighting at other prominent locations across the city.
Dr Yadav said the illumination reflected Jammu’s collective pride in the nation and the spirit of Independence Day. He also urged citizens to participate in the celebrations, respect the National Flag and help maintain the city’s cleanliness and aesthetics.
