Anantnag : District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Anantnag on Thursday organised a volleyball tournament for inmates of District Jail Anantnag in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
The tournament was inaugurated by DLSA Secretary Mir SayeemQayoom in the presence of the Jail Superintendent, DLSA officials, PLVs and sports department personnel.
The initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork and constructive engagement among inmates.
The participants displayed enthusiasm and sportsmanship during the event, which DLSA said was part of its efforts towards the welfare, rehabilitation and social reintegration of persons in custody.
