Srinagar :The autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly will commence on September 21 at 10:00 AM in Srinagar, following an official order by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
In a bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat, the LG’s order stated: “I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby summon the Legislative Assembly for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to meet at Srinagar on Monday, the 21st of September, 2026 at 10:00 AM.” Ahead of the sittings, MLAs have been asked to submit up to four starred and four unstarred questions along with one bill by August 25, 2026, and a maximum of two resolutions by September 5, 2026. Additionally, all meetings and affairs of the Financial and other House Committees will remain suspended starting August 22, 2026, to accommodate the upcoming session.
