Shopian | Aug, 8: Police on Saturday conducted training programs across police stations and posts in Shopian, with technical aid from NIC Shopian, to sensitize personnel on implementing the PM-RAHAT and Rah-Veer schemes.
Officials said that the PM-RAHAT scheme provides up to ₹1.5 lakh in cashless treatment to eligible road accident victims, while the Rah-Veer Scheme rewards citizens who assist victims during the critical “Golden Hours” with ₹25,000, a Certificate of Appreciation, and legal protection under the Motor Vehicles Act. J&K Police urged the general public to voluntarily step forward as Rah-Veers to help save lives.
