On receipt of the complaint, FIR No. 194/2026 under Sections 308(5), 351, 131, 126, 319(2) and 3(5) of the BNS was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation and sustained efforts, one accused identified as Junaid Ahmad Gojree son of Nazir Ahmad Gojree resident of Model Town-D, Sopore was arrested for his alleged involvement in the offence. One more accused involved in the case is yet to be arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend him at the earliest.
