Srinagar : Deputy Inspector General Police Maqsood-ul-Zaman-IPS (Overall Supervisory Officer IDP26) on Thursday convened a meeting of all stakeholders at Balidan Stambh, Pratap Park, to review and finalize preparations for ceremonial tributes to be paid to the martyrs on Independence Day 2026.
During the meeting all concerned departments and agencies were briefed about the need for robust and coordinated security arrangements. Discussions focused on enhancing overall security in and around the venue, managing effective access control, and ensuring continuous monitoring alongside advance security checks. The DIG directed all stakeholders to maintain meticulous inter-departmental coordination to ensure the solemn occasion is conducted seamlessly and securely.
