Srinagar |: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Valley over the coming days to facilitate maintenance of 33 kV transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, power supply to K.K. Mohalla, Nowpora, BohriKadal, B.B. Shah, Bishember Nagar, NaiSarak, Barbar Shah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking, Maisuma and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 5 and August 8 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina–Fateh Kadal and 33 kV Bemina–Barbar Shah lines.
Similarly, electricity supply to Qaimoh, Khudwani, Redwani, Rampora, Matalhama and adjoining areas will remain disrupted from 8 am to 2 pm on August 6 and August 8 because of maintenance work on the 33 kV Wanpoh–Qaimoh line.
Power supply to Wagoora, Kawcheck, Mangam, Watergam, Kreeri, Saloosa, Hospital, Sangrama, Nowpora, Boosu, Cold Store and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 2 pm on August 8 following the shutdown of the 33 kV Delina–Wagoora line.
Likewise, consumers in Kongamdara, Kunzer, Dhobiwan, Ahmadpora, Goom, Kralweth, Chichilora and adjoining areas will face power interruptions from 9 am to 2 pm on August 10 due to maintenance work on the 33 kV Ahmadpora–Kongamdara line. KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to cooperate and make necessary arrangements during the scheduled shutdown period.
