Srinagar :   The Jammu and Kashmir Finance and Accounts Society (JAKFAS) has expressed gratitude to Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, for facilitating the long-pending promotion of officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Finance and Accounts Service.

In a statement, the Society described the decision as a significant milestone that fulfils a long-standing demand of the Finance and Accounts fraternity. It said the promotions have ended prolonged stagnation within the cadre, boosted the morale of officers, and reinforced their confidence in a transparent and responsive administrative system.

JAKFAS said the timely intervention and continued support of the Chief Secretary and the Financial Commissioner played a pivotal role in resolving the issue. It also appreciated the Finance Department’s leadership for recognising the legitimate career progression of Finance and Accounts Service officers.

The Society said the decision would not only motivate officers but also contribute to greater efficiency and professionalism in financial administration across the Union Territory.

Expressing appreciation on behalf of the entire Finance and Accounts fraternity, JAKFAS said it looks forward to continued guidance from the Chief Secretary and the Financial Commissioner in further strengthening financial governance, institutional excellence, and administrative efficiency in Jammu and Kashmir.

The statement was issued by Rashim Deepika Razdan, President, Jammu and Kashmir Finance and Accounts Society (JAKFAS).
