Shopian : Police on Saturday said that it has solved a livestock theft case in Shopian and arrested three individuals besides recovering all eight stolen buffaloes.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that Police Station Heerpora constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) following a complaint lodged by one Mohd. Bashir Baniya regarding buffaloes stolen on the night of July 25–26 from Bada Nad Behak. Through technical analysis and field intelligence, police arrested Umar Nazir Malik, Talib Hussain Doie, and Kadeer Hussain Barwal. All stolen livestock was recovered from their possession under FIR No. 69/2026, and further investigation remains ongoing.
