Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has solved a blind murder case within six hours of recovering an unidentified dead body wrapped in gunny bags from the Babademb Canal near Baba Dawood Khakhi Bridge.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said that an SIT constituted under FIR No. 49/2026 (Sections 103 and 238 of the BNS) identified the deceased as Nazir Ahmad Bhat of Hawal. Investigation revealed that the victim was murdered over a financial dispute inside a rented apartment in Rainawari. Police pursued the fleeing suspects and arrested Haleema Bano and her son Moomin Ahmad from Lolab, Kupwara, while recovering several incriminating items tied to the crime.
