Bandipora : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested a drug peddler during naka checking at Pazalpora Bijbehara.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that the apprehended individual has been identified as Mohammad Irfan Khan son of Mohammad Jahangir Khan resident of Bawana, New Delhi, presently residing at Awantipora. During checking, brown sugar weighing about 5.20 grams was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 231/2026 has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara, and investigation has been initiated to ascertain further links and connections in the case. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curbdrug trafficking and protect the youth from the scourge of drugs.
