Anantnag, July 31, 2026: Continuing its sustained action against the menace of drug trafficking, Anantnag Police apprehended a drug peddler during naka checking at Pazalpora Bijbehara.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Mohammad Irfan Khan, son of Mohammad Jahangir Khan, resident of Bawana, New Delhi, presently residing at Awantipora. During checking, brown sugar weighing about 5.20 grams was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 231/2026 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara, and investigation has been initiated to ascertain further links and connections in the case.
Anantnag Police reiterates its firm commitment to curbing drug trafficking and protecting the youth from the scourge of drugs.
