Director F&ES felicitates Personnel with Gallantry and Meritorious Service Medals

Srinagar  : Director, Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES), J&K, Alok Kumar, Thursday felicitated seven serving and retired personnel of the Department by presenting them with Gallantry Medals (GM), Meritorious Service Medals (MMS) and appreciation certificates in recognition of their exceptional bravery, distinguished service and unwavering dedication to duty.

During the ceremony, the Director honoured Medal for Gallantry to Firdous Ahmad Khan (LFM-1449), Bashir Ahmad Ahanger (FM-1996) and Late S.K. Raina (Deceased), who was honoured posthumously.

The Medal for Meritorious Service was conferred upon Puran Singh (LFM), SatpalKhujuriya (LFM), Abdul Rashid Ganie, Sub Officer (Retired), and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar (SGFM).

Speaking on the occasion, the Director congratulated the awardees and appreciated their outstanding contribution towards protecting lives and property under challenging circumstances. He urged all personnel of the department to continue serving with dedication, discipline and compassion, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism in safeguarding the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of medals and certificates to the awardees amidst applause from the officials of department.
