Srinagar : The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir has apprehended a Punjab-based drug peddler and seized 100 grams of heroin in the Lasjan area of Nowgam, Srinagar.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, police said” acting on specific intelligence regarding the movement of contraband, an ANTF team launched a targeted operation near the flyover adjacent to Peaks in Lasjan. The suspect was identified as Love Preet Singh, a resident of Sunder Nagar, Mustafa Abad, Batala, Amritsar, Punjab.
A field drug detection kit confirmed the seized substance weighing 100 grams to be heroin. In its statement police also said that Case FIR No. 13 of 2026 under section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station ANTF Kashmir. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source, destination, and broader interstate network involved in the syndicate network.
