Glaze Masters On Social Media: Oops, Leaders Show It Again, J&K’s Apology Festival

Srinagar: In Jammu & Kashmir, political manifestos have officially been replaced by subscription-based apology cards. Over the last three decades, our esteemed leaders have pioneered a revolutionary political strategy: make a sensational claim on Monday, outrage the public by Wednesday, and issue a grand, dramatic apology by Friday. Rinse, repeat, and call it governance!
While ordinary mortals seek forgiveness once or twice in a lifetime, J&K politicos collect public apologies like loyalty points. Missed a development deadline? “Deeply sorry!” Made a reckless statement that backfired? “My sentiments were misunderstood, apologies!”
It’s an art form, really. Leaders take a curious, almost sadistic pleasure in delivering these ritualistic “sorry” speeches, while the public munches popcorn, placing bets on who will apologize next. Forget infrastructure or employment promises—the only thing delivered with 100% consistency in J&K politics is a well-timed, teary-eyed press release saying, “Oops, my bad!”
