The Senior Superintendent of Police called for strict action against drug peddlers. The District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) informed the meeting that several awareness activities have been conducted to educate people, especially youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse. It was decided to intensify awareness programmes in schools and colleges.
