Srinagar : As part of ongoing measures to eliminate the narcotics network and prevent illegal plant cultivation, Baramulla Police conducted a destruction drive targeting wild cannabis at Mattipora Mirgund.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Police said during the drive, wild Bhung spread over approximately 01 kanal of land was identified and destroyed on the spot in coordination with local residents.”
In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to eliminate drug ecosystem through sustained enforcement, public participation, and awareness initiatives, appealing people therein to report illegal cultivation activities.
