Addressing the 88th Raising Day celebrations in Srinagar Rajesh Kumar emphasized the CRPF’s significant contributions to combating terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and acknowledged the force’s legacy of commitment to internal security over nearly nine decades. He praised the operational effectiveness of the CRPF in various regions, including Punjab, areas affected by Left Wing Extremism, the Northeast, and Jammu & Kashmir, noting the professionalism and valor displayed by personnel in challenging environments. He also honored the sacrifices of CRPF members who have lost their lives in service to the nation, paying tribute at the Shaheed Smarak within the Group Centre campus. The celebrations included a Sainik Sammelan, where distinguished personnel were recognized for their exemplary service with awards such as the Shaurya Chakra and Gallantry Medal. Additionally, various sports events and a traditional Bara Khana were organized to enhance troop morale. The event was attended by senior CRPF officials, including Inspector Generals from different sectors, and the Director General of CRPF, G.P. Singh, who reaffirmed the force’s commitment to national security and resilience against internal challenges.
