Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹5.60 crores under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Police said that as part of the operation, Police Station Chanapora attached seven immovable properties in separate NDPS cases,” officials stated. The properties belong to Mohd Yaseen Rather (₹65 lakh), Suhail Rashid Haroon (₹60 lakh), Mohd Asif Rather (₹75 lakh), Arsalan Syed Beigh (₹35 lakh), Hilal Ahmad Parray (₹1 crore), Danish Reyaz Shah (₹75 lakh), and Saqib Naseer Beigh (₹70 lakh). Additionally, Police Station Saddar attached a residential house worth approximately ₹80 lakh belonging to Shaheem Farooq Bhat in connection with FIR No. 08/2026. All the attached properties have been identified as illegally acquired assets generated from the proceeds of illicit drug trafficking. The attachments were carried out under the NDPS Act and remain subject to confirmation by the Competent Authority.
In its statement Police also reiterated its unwavering commitment to dismantle the financial backbone of drug trafficking syndicates by targeting assets amassed through the illegal narcotics trade, appealing people therein to share credible inputs regarding drug activities with complete confidentiality.
