New Delhi, Jul 24 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi late Friday night in a social media post thanked India’s youth for the response and suggestions following his video and expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support.
In a post on Instagram, which was reposted on X by the BJP, the PM said:
“Thank your friends. Late last night I got an opportunity to meet with you. Thanks to the youngsters who watched my video late last night and sent insightful suggestions. Thanks to everybody. Aapka pyar bana rahega, hamara nata aur adhik sakriyata se judta rahega.”
The post by the PM comes on a day the union Cabinet gave shape to a bill that provides for stringent punishment for those behind paper leaks, and fast-tracking of such cases. The Bill is set to be introduced in Parliament next week for passage, and comes amid the widespread protests by the youth against the NEET paper leak.
On Thursday late night, the PM in a video message gave assurances that the government would crack down very strictly on those involved in paper leaks. Following this, activist Sonam Wangchuk called off his hunger strike after 26 days. However, the Cockroach Janta Party is continuing with its agitation, demanding the resignation of union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
