Srinagar: Delhi’s Jantar Mantar witnessed peak political absurdity when PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti crashed a gathering of stressed medical aspirants protesting NEET paper leaks. Unmoved by biology or physics formulas, Mehbooba seized the microphone, sobbed profusely, and diagnosed the ultimate culprit behind high cut-offs: the 2019 abrogation of Article 370 and the “tragic demotion” of J&K to a Union Territory!
As bewildered students held placards demanding exam re-tests, Mehbooba tearfully insisted that no grace mark could ever heal Kashmir’s constitutional wounds. The ultimate irony? Just days prior, when NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah personally invited her to join J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s rally in the capital specifically demanding statehood restoration, Mehbooba snubbed it. She grandly claimed demanding “just statehood” was a betrayal without Article 370. Yet, lecturing teenage medical applicants about constitutional clauses seemed perfectly reasonable to her. Future doctors walked away with zero answers on rank inflation, but thoroughly certified in political acrobatics!
