Srinagar : Nasir Farooq Dar, a young karate athlete from Ghat Palhallan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, clinched a bronze medal at the VARMUL GINDO 3.0 Karate Championship, held on July 20 and 21.
Competing against participants from different regions, Nasir secured the third position after delivering an impressive performance throughout the championship. His victory adds another achievement to Jammu and Kashmir’s growing presence in martial arts competitions.
The medal-winning performance is being seen as the result of consistent training, discipline and determination. Coaches and fellow athletes praised Nasir for his technical skills and competitive spirit displayed during the event.
The achievement has been widely welcomed in Ghat Palhallan, with residents and members of the local sports fraternity congratulating the young athlete for bringing laurels to Baramulla and the Union Territory.
