Army Rifleman dies after fall at Rajouri forward post

Jammu : An Army rifleman died after slipping while on duty at a forward post in the Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, officials said.
An official said that the deceased, a rifleman of the 19 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (19 JAK Rifles), was deployed at the forward location.
He said the rifleman sustained fatal injuries after slipping at the post and died on duty.
The deceased was later identified as Rifleman Sukhpreet Singh, a resident of Punjab.
The official said cognizance of the incident has been taken and further proceedings have been initiated
