The Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to providing timely relief and rehabilitation to families affected by recent floods, emphasizing that all efforts will be made to restore normalcy in the impacted regions. During his visit to the severely damaged Baila Bus Stand in Rajouri, he assessed the destruction and instructed officials to evaluate losses and expedite restoration to resume public transport services swiftly. Engaging with local residents and transporters, the Minister expressed empathy for their struggles and assured them that the Government is monitoring the situation closely, pledging to address all legitimate claims of damage. He also visited a Relief and Rehabilitation Centre at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, where displaced families are receiving temporary shelter, and took the time to listen to their concerns and immediate needs. He reiterated the Government’s unwavering commitment to assist flood-affected families and ensure that relief reaches those in need without delay, with the restoration of services and rehabilitation as top priorities.
