“Cowardly Act Won’t Go Unpunished, Perpetrators Will Be Brought to Justice”
Srinagar, July 22: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said he reviewed the security situation in the wake of the terror attack in Anantnag after speaking with Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat, while asserting that those responsible for the attack will be brought to justice.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who lost his life in the line of duty.
“I spoke with DGP Nalin Prabhat to review the situation following the terror attack in Anantnag. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who sacrificed his life in the line of duty. The whole country stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the family of the martyr,” the LG said.
Strongly condemning the attack, Sinha termed it a “cowardly” and “heinous” act, saying it would not go unpunished.
“I strongly condemn this cowardly attack. This heinous act will not go unpunished. J&K Police and our security forces are on the ground and will bring those responsible to justice,” he said.
