Jammu : The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) and e Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance academic excellence, research innovation, and societal development in Jammu and Kashmir.

The agreement was formalized at the SKUAST-Jammu campus, with key figures including Vice Chancellors Professor B.N. Tripathi and Sr. Professor K.S. Chandrasekar present during the signing. The MoU aims to integrate specialized agricultural research with multidisciplinary education, focusing on sustainable agricultural development, skill enhancement, and entrepreneurial growth. It outlines a framework for collaboration across various disciplines such as Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, and more. The partnership will facilitate joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, capacity-building programs, and innovation support for startups. Additionally, it emphasizes outreach activities to disseminate advanced technologies to the farming community through SKUAST-Jammu’s Krishi Vigyan Kendras. This collaboration is seen as a transformative step in the academic landscape of the region, fostering a dynamic ecosystem where agricultural expertise intersects with broader academic pursuits. The event was attended by numerous statutory officers and senior academic personnel from both institutions, underscoring the collective commitment to this initiative. The ceremony concluded with a formal exchange of documents.
