Bandipora :: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, Monday presided over the TB Free Panchayat Award Ceremony 2025 held at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Bandipora, under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The programme was attended by Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr. Bhajan Kour, senior officers of the Health Department, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, and other stakeholders.

On the occasion, 25 Gram Panchayats of the district were conferred with the Gold Category TB Free Panchayat Award for achieving and sustaining TB Free Panchayat Status during the year 2025.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the award-winning Panchayats and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Health Department, Panchayati Raj Institutions, frontline health workers, and the community in strengthening tuberculosis prevention, early detection, treatment adherence, and public awareness under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).

She said the recognition reflects the collective commitment of all stakeholders towards the goal of a TB-Mukt Bharat and urged all Panchayats to sustain the momentum through active community participation, timely diagnosis and quality healthcare services.

On the occasion, the DC encouraged all Panchayats to continue working collectively towards making Bandipora, a TB-free district.
