Special Lok Adalat settles 57 cases under Negotiable Instruments Act in Jammu

Jammu :A Special Lok Adalat for cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 was organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jammu, under the guidance of Principal District & Sessions Judge/Chairman, DLSA Jammu Ravinder Nath Watal and the supervision of Civil Judge (Senior Division)/Secretary, DLSA Jammu Maleeka Sharma, at District Court Complex, Jammu.

A total of 18 benches were constituted for the Special Lok Adalat, taking up 314 cases, of which 57 were settled amicably for ₹1,01,83,993. The Lok Adalat ensured speedy justice and provided relief to victims of road accidents through quick settlement of claims.
