Major Shakeup in J&K Police: Top Cops Transferred to Cyber Crime Coordination Centre

Srinagar : In a major administrative realignment, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of five senior police officers to key positions within the newly established JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C).
According to an order issued by the Government Sheikh Junaid Mehmood (IPS), who was serving as I/c IGP, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the JK Cyber Crime Coordination Centre. Sameer Sharma (IPS), the outgoing DIG Armed Jammu, has been transferred and posted as DIG of the centre. Shri Mohd Yaseen Kichloo (IPS) moves from his role as Principal STC Talwara to take over as SSP Administrative Wing, while also holding the additional charge of SSP Cyber Operations Wing. Ramnish Gupta, previously serving as SSP CICE Jammu, has been posted as SSP Cyber Investigation Wing. Shwetambri Sharma, an SP who was awaiting orders of posting, has been assigned as SP of the Online Crime against Women and Children (OCWC) Wing. The government order also specified that the financial compensation and pay of the transferred officers will be drawn against overall reserves until further instructions are issued.
