Baramulla : Baramulla police have introduced a strict new framework for journalists covering official events and high-security zones to streamline access and bolster public safety.
In a statement issued here, police said that a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been implemented to regulate media access during VVIP visits, public events, and religious gatherings. “Under the new rules, only media personnel possessing valid identity cards issued by the District Information Officer (DIO) Baramulla will be permitted entry into designated venues and restricted areas,” the statement noted.
The department has sought full cooperation from media houses, emphasizing that the guidelines are aimed at ensuring hassle-free coverage while maintaining foolproof security protocols.
