G’bal| : To ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra security forces conducted intensive, joint mock drills at key locations across Ganderbal on Wednesday.

The exercises took place at Pandith Colony in Manigam—led by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Ganderbal alongside the Indian Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)—and at Thajwas in Sonamarg, executed by Police Station Sonamarg, the Tourist Police, and CAPFs.

Officials said that exercises were aimed at assessing the preparedness, operational coordination, and rapid response capabilities of all participating agencies in handling various emergency and contingency scenarios.”

The drills successfully tested multi-agency coordination in tactical intervention, crowd management, evacuation, and threat neutralization along the primary Yatra routes.
