Baramulla : Police on Tuesday that in midnight enforcement enforcement drives in Baramulla six heavy-duty vehicles have been caught for illicitly transporting extracted minerals.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said the night enforcement drive within the jurisdiction of Police Station Sheeri led to the interception of six dumpers found violating prescribed mining norms. Following a swift inspection by the Department of Geology and Mining, a collective penalty of ₹98,949 was slapped on the violators.
