It is an initiative by District Administration Kupwara and Supported by IREDA under its CSR program. Project being implemented by TYCIA under overall supervision of District TB Center Kupwara.

The mobile unit delivers doorstep screening and diagnostic services to underserved, hard-to-reach communities, helping ensure early detection, prompt diagnosis, and timely treatment under the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP).

Since its flag-off by the Lieutenant Governor Jammu & Kashmir, the DTC-Mobile Medical Unit has conducted similar camps in Tangdhar, Keran, and Machil before reaching Budnamal.

The camp saw strong community turnout, with residents availing screening and diagnostic services. The District Administration and Health Department reiterated their commitment to intensified active case finding, awareness generation, uninterrupted treatment, and community-based interventions to eliminate TB across the district.
