Kulgam :  A meeting of the District Level Committee (DLC) for scrutiny and verification of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, in his office chamber.

The meeting was attended by Altaf Ahmad Khan, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kulgam;  Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kulgam; District Social Welfare Officer, Kulgam; Tehsildar Kulgam; Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council, Kulgam; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Devsar; and Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Yaripora.

During the meeting, the District Level Committee reviewed the status of applications received under PMAY-U 2.0 and examined the eligible cases placed before it in accordance with the scheme guidelines.

After detailed scrutiny and deliberation, the Committee approved 10 Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) cases for further processing under PMAY-U 2.0. Of these, seven cases pertain to Municipal Committee Yaripora and three cases pertain to Municipal Committee Devsar.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure the timely completion of all remaining formalities, including geo-tagging, documentation, and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), so that the approved beneficiaries receive the benefits of the scheme without delay. He emphasized transparency, accountability, and strict adherence to the PMAY-U 2.0 guidelines during the implementation process.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from all concerned departments to expedite the implementation of PMAY-U 2.0 and ensure that the benefits of the flagship housing scheme reach all eligible beneficiaries in a transparent and time-bound manner.
