Baramulla : Shifting focus to environmental protection, Baramulla Police teamed up with the Mining Department to strike at illegal mineral extraction networks. Acting on specific intelligence, authorities seized six tractors along the Goigam-Pinjoora axis for violating the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act.
“The joint drive reflects the commitment of law enforcement agencies to protecting natural resources and ensuring strict enforcement of mining laws,” police said , warning that similar enforcement drives will continue across the district.
