Says rising pilgrim numbers are boosting tourism and the local economy
Appreciates coordinated efforts of admin, Shrine Board, security agencies

Srinagar : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday visited the Yatra Transit Camp and Yatri Niwas at Pantha Chowk in Srinagar to review arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra-2026, directing officials to ensure round-the-clock care and a hassle-free pilgrimage for devotees.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with pilgrims and officials and assessed facilities including registration, accommodation, sanitation, security, healthcare, drinking water, power supply, firefighting measures and other essential services.

Sinha also called for promoting Jammu and Kashmir’s traditional handicrafts and handloom products among pilgri

He stressed the need for continued coordination, effective crowd management, timely dissemination of information and a seamless registration process.
He also directed officials to take strict legal action against those involved in fraudulent registration practices.
