Anantnag : SSP Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure on Wednesday reviewed security arrangements and overall management of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra during a visit to the Zojibal sector.
He chaired a meeting with police officers, the Camp Director and civil administration officials to assess security deployment, emergency preparedness, inter-departmental coordination and pilgrim facilitation. The SSP directed all stakeholders to maintain seamless coordination and remain prepared for any contingency.
Nagpure also interacted with pilgrims to enquire about their well-being and reviewed the operational readiness of Mountain Rescue Teams (MRTs) and SDRF personnel, stressing the need for round-the-clock preparedness for emergencies.
