MSME organizes Capacity Building Programme on Branding and Marketing for PM Vishwakarma Artisans in Srinagar

Srinagar : The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, Branch MSME-DFO Srinagar, organised a Capacity Building Programme on Branding and Marketing under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme at Kashmir Government Polytechnic College, Srinagar, exclusively for registered PM Vishwakarma artisans.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Amit Kumar Tamaria, IEDS, Joint Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and coordinated by Mohammad Tariq Ishtiaq, IEDS, Assistant Director, Branch MSME-DFO Srinagar.

The programme witnessed participation of more than 100 registered PM Vishwakarma artisans. The event was attended by the Principal, Kashmir Government Polytechnic College, Srinagar; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP), Srinagar; and officials from District Industries Centre (DIC), Srinagar.

The programme aimed to strengthen the branding, marketing, and entrepreneurial capabilities of registered PM Vishwakarma artisans through awareness on modern marketing practices, digital tools, financial literacy, and market linkages.

Sessions were conducted on “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Product Branding and Market Promotion” by the SL PMU Team, “Product Packaging, Branding and Marketing” by faculty members from Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), and credit facilitation, banking awareness, QR code generation, and financial literacy by the Lead District Manager (LDM), Srinagar.

Addressing the participants, IEDS, Assistant Director, Branch MSME-DFO Srinagar, emphasised the importance of branding, quality improvement, and effective marketing strategies for enhancing the visibility and market value of artisan products.

The programme concluded with a commitment of the Branch MSME-DFO Srinagar, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, towards empowering PM Vishwakarma artisans through continuous capacity-building initiatives and improved market access.
