Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday met Director of MeraYuva Bharat (MY Bharat), J&K, Nitin Hangloo, who briefed him on the organisation’s initiatives aimed at empowering youth through volunteering, experiential learning, internships, leadership development and nation-building programmes.
Accompanied by MY Bharat Resource Person Sushil Singh Charak, Hangloo also apprised the Lieutenant Governor of the ongoing registration drive across the Union Territory to maximise youth enrolment on the MY Bharat portal.
In separate meetings, Advocate Tabassum Rahim called on the Lieutenant Governor and projected various welfare issues concerning brick kiln owners of Budgam district.
Later, Er. Ehtisham Khan, Student Rights Activist and Secretary of the Gandhi King Foundation, J&K, discussed issues related to youth empowerment, sports promotion and enhancing youth participation in public welfare initiatives.
Qazi Salman, Director News, Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Srinagar, also met the Lieutenant Governor and briefed him on the broadcaster’s public awareness programmes under the NashaMukt J&K Abhiyan and its outreach on various government schemes and campaigns.
