Anantnag : Police on Wednesday said that it has apprehended three suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) after the Facial Recognition System (FRS) deployed for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra flagged them as suspicious in the Sarbal area.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that it intercepted the trio following FRS alerts and confirmed their identities during verification, adding therein that operation shows the role of technology-driven policing in strengthening security for the pilgrimage and ensuring a safe and incident-free Yatra.
