Sopore : Police on Wednesday said that it has attached a residential property worth around ₹30 lakh belonging to a drug peddler in Behrampora, Rafiabad, under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police identified the property, belonging to Gulzar Ahmad Zargar alias Sheeda, as proceeds of narcotics trafficking following a financial investigation. With the latest action, Sopore Police have attached eight properties worth over ₹1.50 crore during the campaign. In its statement Police said that crackdown on drug trafficking and the financial networks supporting the narcotics trade will continue.
