Shopian, July 08: A terrorist affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed during the ongoing anti-terror operation in the Shopian area of south Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.
In a post on X, Jammu and Kashmir Police said: “You can run but you can’t hide! One Lashkar terrorist neutralised by SOG Shopian in a joint operation with the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF.”
The anti-terror operation was launched four days ago following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area.
The operation was still underway when this report was filed. The identity of the slain terrorist and other operational details were awaited.
