Lost Bag Of Uttar Pradesh Pilgrim Recovered At Nunwan Base Camp: Police

Anantnag : Police on Monday said that it has traced and returned a lost bag containing valuables to a pilgrim during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that the bag was recovered through the coordinated efforts of the Help Desk, CCTV Control Room and X-Ray Point at Nunwan Base Camp in Anantnag district.
After proper verification, the bag was handed over to its owner, Sangam Maheshwari, wife of Pavan Kumar Maheshwari, a resident of Khediya in Uttar Pradesh. In its statement Police said that the pilgrim appreciated the prompt response and professionalism of police in recovering her belongings, reiterating therein its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and hassle-free pilgrimage by providing timely assistance and maintaining an effective public support system throughout the Yatra.
