Srinagar  : Kashmiris always knew winter meant candles, pherans, and the predictable game of “hide-and-seek” with KPDCL. But July? That’s an entirely new plot twist! In an unprecedented move, we’ve been gifted a summer power curtailment schedule. Yes, instead of the promised 200 units of free electricity, we are now getting a masterclass in living off the grid during a heatwave.

Consumers are absolutely shocked—and sweating. It turns out “free power” actually meant “free of power.” Our smart meters are currently working hard as expensive wall decorations, and inverter batteries are crying for backup. Forget the cool breeze of Dal Lake; we are now scheduling our midday naps around KPDCL’s new summer calendar. Who needs air conditioning anyway when you can have vintage, candle-lit sweat sessions? Stay unplugged, Kashmir!  #KPDCL #SummerCuts #KashmirPower #SweatingInJuly #ExpectationVsReality
