DC Ramban reviews arrangements at Lamber Yatra Camp

Ramban :Continuing the monitoring of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 arrangements, Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Saturday  inspected the Lamber Yatra Camp at Banihal and reviewed arrangements made by various departments, assessing the quality, efficiency and timeliness of services provided to pilgrims.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the langars and directed the SDM Banihal and the Food Inspector to regularly monitor the quality, hygiene and availability of food items to ensure devotees are served safe and nutritious meals. He also inspected healthcare facilities and medical services provided to the Yatris, and reviewed RFID issuance, accommodation, sanitation and cleanliness measures, drinking water supply, security arrangements, traffic management, power and lighting, public conveniences and other facilities established for pilgrims.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with devotees and obtained feedback on the facilities and services at the camp, enquiring about their travel experience, accommodation, sanitation, medical facilities, security arrangements and overall comfort.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed officers to maintain continuous monitoring of all facilities and remain available round the clock to address pilgrims’ grievances without delay, ensuring sanitation, drinking water, healthcare and other public utility services are maintained at the highest standards. Calling for close coordination among stakeholder departments, he directed officers to remain vigilant and ensure timely delivery of every essential service for pilgrims travelling through Ramban district.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban Arun Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Banihal Mohammad NaseebBajraan, SDM Ramsoo Sayed Mazahir Hussain Shah and other officers concerned.
