Gujrat : Pilgrims from Jammu & Kashmir, participating in the six-day Somnath Swabhiman Yatra-2026, continued their pilgrimage in Gujarat, visiting several historic, religious and culturally significant sites.

The pilgrimage, organised under the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” saw arrangements made by the Government of Gujarat for the pilgrims’ safety, security and comfort. A contingent of pilgrims arriving at Sabarmati Railway Station by special train was received with a traditional welcome and cultural performances.

The pilgrims were transported to Somnath in air-conditioned deluxe buses, accompanied by an ambulance and an escort team. Accommodation, boarding facilities, medical assistance and transportation for visits to historical, religious and spiritual sites were provided.

During the day’s itinerary, the pilgrims visited the historic Ram Mandir at Triveni Sangam, where they offered prayers for peace, prosperity, unity and the well-being of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Gujarat. They also visited Gokuldham, Geeta Mandir, Balram Mandir, Laxminarayan Mandir and DehTayag Mandir. At the Triveni Ghat, they took a holy dip, performed religious rituals and fed fishes.

The pilgrims paid obeisance at the  Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, participated in Darshan, attended the evening Aarti and witnessed the Light and Sound Show depicting the temple’s history.

The pilgrims expressed gratitude to the Government of India, the Government of Gujarat, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir and the Shree Somnath Trust for the arrangements and hospitality extended throughout the pilgrimage.
