DC Ramban conducts final inspection of Amarnath Yatra arrangements in distt

Ramban :On the eve of the Amarnath Yatra Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Wednesday inspected the final arrangements along the Yatra route in the district to ensure adequate facilities for pilgri

He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak, Assistant Commissioner (Development) Sheraz Ahmed and other senior officers of the district administration and line departments.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed staff deployment and assessed preparedness of essential services, including langars, accommodation, sanitation, toilets, healthcare, drinking water and power supply, at key locations such as Chanderkote and other designated Yatra camps and transit points.

The officers informed the Deputy Commissioner that their departments had completed the necessary arrangements and were fully geared up to provide uninterrupted services throughout the Yatra period.

Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta separately reviewed security arrangements across the district and emphasised coordinated deployment and vigilant monitoring to ensure security for pilgri

Interacting with officers and field staff at various locations, the Deputy Commissioner directed all personnel deployed for Yatra duties to perform their responsibilities with professionalism and coordination, extending warmth and hospitality to pilgrims in keeping with the traditions of Jammu and Kashmir. He further instructed all departments to remain alert round the clock, maintain close inter-departmental coordination and respond promptly to any contingency to ensure uninterrupted services.
