Udhampur :The Reserve Bank of India participated in the annual three-day Sudhmahadev Mela by setting up a financial awareness stall at Sudhmahadev temple, District Udhampur, to promote financial literacy and safe banking practices among devotees and visitors.
Financial Inclusion Development Department (FIDD) officials interacted with the public and shared information on safe digital banking practices, grievance redress mechanisms, deposit insurance and responsible financial behaviour. Information brochures and awareness material were distributed among visitors, who were also sensitised about common cyber frauds and advised to follow the “Be Aware, Be Secure” approach for digital financial transactions.
The stall received an encouraging response, with visitors actively engaging with RBI officials.
