Baramulla June 21: The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated with remarkable enthusiasm and energy across Baramulla district. The celebrations were led by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, from Kolkata.

The main event was held at Showkat Ali Sports Stadium Baramulla where hundreds of youth, students, and elderly participants gathered to take part in the event.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, S.F. Hamid, Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh and other officers joined the participating youth in celebrating the International Yoga Day.

During the event a mass yoga session was held, where instructors guided attendees through various asanas and breathing exercises. The session was synchronized with the national event, creating a unified experience for all participants.

The celebrations in Baramulla were part of a larger nationwide and global observance of International Yoga Day. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, resonated deeply with the local community, who turned out in large numbers to participate in the event.
