Srinagar, June 20: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said the Srinagar–Nalanda Dialogue provides a unique opportunity to revive India’s rich traditions of knowledge and spirituality while building a future-oriented education system that connects the younger generation with both civilizational values and modern technology.
In a post on X, Sinha said the objective of the dialogue is to strengthen India’s civilizational traditions and shape an educational framework that links the country’s youth with its historical legacy as well as emerging technological advancements. The Srinagar–Nalanda Dialogue was held as part of the ongoing Kashmir Literature Festival in Srinagar.
The Lieutenant Governor said that scholars from Jammu and Kashmir and Nalanda had together contributed to shaping one of the world’s oldest living civilizations. He described this shared heritage as a guiding light for the nation and stressed the need to preserve and carry it forward for future generations.
Sinha further said that the Srinagar–Nalanda Dialogue offers an opportunity to advance this legacy with wisdom, courage and a renewed vision for a developed India, or “Viksit Bharat.”
The dialogue brought together scholars, thinkers and cultural leaders to deliberate on India’s intellectual traditions, cultural heritage and the role of education in nation-building.
